coach amy: consistency is #1

By e3 Fitness

If there was one piece of advice I could give to people about how to be successful in fitness, it would be one word: consistency. Everyone has busy lives: work, school, kids, spouses, hobbies, etc. But there is something to be said about those same busy people who find the time to sweat every day. Like anything, it takes time to turn one-time actions into habits, but it takes discipline to create an active and healthy lifestyle. At e3, we preach consistency as part of our overall mantra because that is truly the best way to achieve the highest results. When you create a plan and even go as far as writing it down, not only is it easier to stick to, it’s more likely you’ll commit to it because now it’s part of your overall schedule. Take the time every Sunday night to look at the week ahead and plan times that you’re going to go workout. Developing a plan to workout 3 days a week is a good starting point, typically Monday, Wednesday and Friday. Commit to a time that works best for you either before work, during a lunch break, or after you get off. Pack a gym bag the night before so everything is ready to go. Eliminating all excuses and making YOURSELF a priority is the quickest way to create consistency, and really develop a positive and healthy lifestyle.     – Coach Amy
